Carolyn Liptak - Violin

Carolyn Liptak Carolyn Liptak obtained her violin performance degree from the American Conservatory of music in Chicago, IL.

Her teaching career began at the Kenneth Warren School of Violin Making, where she taught private violin lessons. She went on to play with the Savannah Symphony in Savannah, Georgia. While in Savannah, Carolyn started the first string program in the middle school system. She took a leave from the symphony to study 8 months with Detlef Hahn, professor of violin at the Guild Hall of Music in London, England. Upon her return, she decided to move back to her home town, Minneapolis, where she began a career as a freelance violinist and teacher. Since that time she has been busy with a full time teaching schedule, playing and running the Cavelle Chamber Ensembles, playing with the Northern Lights String Quartet, performing as a member of Thursday Musical, and playing various freelance jobs.
